NO! Very important to use a cleaner that leaves no residue. Must be for cleaning electronics.

I'm not sure, but I think it is in the air tube near the filter.

You might post this question in the forum for 1999-2003.

Just got it apart and sprayed, really is as simple as the directions say, the guys at oreilly's auto didnt know if the CRC electronics cleaner was any different from the MAF cleaner, but it probably is all the same in the end just in a different can and for a few cents more because its a specialty solution. They could have sold it to me in a smaller can atleast....I'm never going to need to buy another can of this stuff for the rest of my life. Might even start passing it on as a family heirloom the can is so big.

depends on how often you maintain your truck in this area of the engine...im pretty delicate and perfect, and grown accustomed to have my truck running smooth on idle and like bluejay im in the habit of doing this every 3000 miles.....err every oil change, plus she runs like new everytime i do it, so maybe ill end up needing two cans for my lifespan...

Just cleaned mine on Saturday. Truck was idling rough at low rpms, like around 550-600, before and now idles smooth at around 700 rpms. I'm hoping to see a MPG improvement. I've been gettinga about 12.5-13 with stock tires, DWV intake mod and dual exhaust. Hoping this improves upon that.

Thanks for the write-up. Easy as can be maintainance. Think I'll hit mine again this next weekend, just to be sure I got all the build-up off the contacts.

Thanks Bluejay.

just reached 50k on the 06. noticed it had started "stumbling" a bit at WOT. also when cruising the truck would shift in & out of OD constantly.

This seems to have helped these issues so far.

Glad to hear it! Always feels good when someone makes use of a How To and it turns out good.

You will need to clear the code with a programmer if you have one or just disconnect the battery for about 15 minutes.
