but you have to get the dealer to swap clusters and reprogram the pats in the new cluster (im assuming that you have a 97-03) |
Yes, I have an 04 heritage XL v6. Thought that if im going to get extra gauges to do the mod with I might as well upgrade to one with a tach...

okay decided to see if id be able to do this today, so i started on the a/c control panel.
opened it up and the "green film" basically fell out Attachment 31301 i put these cheezy "color changing" LEDs in from a local auto store for now, just to get an idea of how it looks before i order the rest of the LEDs. cant wait to see how it looks at night. this has probably already been addressed but what are yall doing about the knobs, they have that little cube of green plastic on the back Attachment 31302 |
I have the same question about the knob...and I've tried the LEDs in the hvac panel and it lit up just where the bulbs were and I couldn't even hardly see the rest of the lit up parts.

do the knobs on the AC pop right off? how does the A/c controls come apart? pop or screw?

ok thanks. maybe blackout can get a how-to on how to take it apart. Id like to know before I do it so I dont tear it up like i did my first light switch.

i think i have an extra one in the garage from a truck i stripped. ill take a look at it tomorrow so neither of yall have to worry about messing yours up.

sounds good, thanks. I think ill change the color of my light switch and just hot glue it or something back together and get a autometer speedo dash and double DIN radio and LEDs in the A/C controls and be set..see if you can get pics of it too please :)
