I got a question! I went to take of the green crud of the back of the cluster, did so suscessfully, just need to know how to put the reading needles back on in the right place.

Ok so ive looked over this thread and havent really found a definitive answer. I have my 2000 expedition and i want to acetone the green out but i want to know how risky it is for me to do it, how hard it is to get the needles back in place, and how long the whole process would take...Any help please?
