God I hope so... I put it all back together without doing ****. I'm going to take it out to a buds that has a impact wrench and do the job. The instructions said I needed a impact wrench so I just figured it was on REAL TIGHT!

I used the instructions to install my 2.5" kit last weekend. It took about 2 hrs. Of course we had to go to the store to replace the breaker bar we were using on the 30mm nut. That suckers "ON" there.
I had the alignment done the next morning and gave it a couple of days before measuring it. The front is within 1/4" of the back now.
One of the best Mods you can do for the look of a truck, IMHO.
Thanks for the directions. I posted a pic in my gallery.

Thank you for this thread. Pictures were perfect. Takes about 1.5-2hrs. 2nd side goes much smoother, obviously. I'm just waiting for my 18x10 Classic II's and 33x13.5x18 DC F-C II's to show up in the mail.
I didnt have a 30mm so I used locking pliers on the nut, and I doubled up wrenches on the head. Came right off. Getting the ball joint (upper CA to lower CA) reconnected sucked the first time around. Once I got the nut started I just held the top of the ball joint shaft with pliers and turned nut until the hex end of shaft stuck out the bottom of the nut enough to grab it with the pliers (probably should use a wrench on the hex shaft so not to round it off). Second side took 30-35mins. Not bad after its all done. If you can turn a wrench and have a little strength you should definately save the money and install this yourself. Thanks again for this thread and all who contributed. God bless.

2.5 AS installed finished

Got my kit earlier this week and did the install last evening. Instructions made it really simple. Took 1 hour and 5 minutes total and 10 minutes of that was reviewing all the steps and pics. Thanks for a great DIY post. I am really impressed with the new look. Will post new pics this weekend.

Here's a pic of mine.... 2-1/2" levelling w/ 1-1/2" A.A.L. on 35x12.50-18 Kumho KL-71's on Stock FX-4 rims... I love the tires, but a little road noise

forgive me for my rookie question, but I don't see/hear anyone using a spring compressor for the Autospring kit.... is there some other kit where you need to use one ?

The levelling block goes above the shock/spring combination. A spring compressor is used on the F-250's and bigger and I believe the pre-2004 F-150's... Someone correct me if I am wrong...

Daystar leveling kits (and similar typed brands) for the 04-08 use a spring compressor because they load on top and bottom of the spring in the coil over.

You do not need a compressor to get the spring/strut assembly out or back in, only to change out the strut/shock. I reviewed this thread before I did the install of my new Bilstiens, it was very helpful. Did both sides in about 1.5 hours. However I did spend more than 1.5 hours sitting in my garage chair sipping on several beverages admiring the work and a level F-150
