My bad I read that part but I thought it was just talking about the ones that were made when you cut off the billows, I didn't realize it meant all of them, thanks for setting me strait.

Has anyone had a severe drop in mileage after doing this? I did it last week and my computer shows a good drop in mileage. It has always been really accurate when i compare it to actual mileage done by hand. Im still on the first tank since the mod so i havent checked it by hand yet but i was just curious if anyone else saw this on theirs?

I havent done it yet but more air = more fuel so really any intake modification that increases air will increase fuel use as well.

The argument has always been that if your engine can 'breath' better it doesnt need to work as hard to run, which is true, but how many people are driving easier now that they have this installed. Therefore you fuel consumption should increase.

bluejay, I have a 2005 5.4 with an edge programmer, if I did this mod where would I get custom tunes for it. Or is the level 3 ok to run with it?? I dont see the difference in this mod and a bought intake they both increase the air flow... how does this make it run lean if the computer relearns? thanx in advance

Ok so what if you removed and left it off...? Aside from a slightly higher air temp wouldn't this achieve the same rusult??

I like the Idea, although Im wondering (since I have a 98, the intake maybe different then I think) Where does the MAS go now? and do you have a Filter on it anymore as I dont notice it in the photos.

the nbs f150 allow for this mod because the air filter is on top of the motor and the mas is right under the filter check the search feature for your 98
