Have you not changed your fuel filter in awhile? Fuel filters are probably the most neglected preventative maintenance. Fuel filters screen out dirt and rust particles that may have gotten into your fuel tank or lines. Clogged fuel filters can add a variety of issues to your vehicle and extra wear to your fuel system.

I know a lot of other peoples are that way too because you here them talk about breaking the blue clips.

Every 15K miles.... it's called preventative maintenance for a reason.
Love to see yours when you cut it open LOL!

Nicely done, SVT. Thanks.
Is there any correlation to truck config/bed length for the fuel line differences? Mine has only the blue clip.

Thank you for the tutorial. I just changed my filter at 50096 miles in my truck. My gosh was it a huge PITA to get the orange clip out. It ended up breaking off. The filter I got as a replacement contained two clips so I am covered.
The color of my gas on the tank side was very discolored.
Overall it took me about 30 minutes after wrestling out the clips to make sure I didn't break anything else.

Now my truck no longer seems sluggish on quick acceleration. No more lunging as I try to accelerate. Seems almost like a different truck.
Thanks again !!

The kit was made in Taiwan so I am not sure how well built the filter is, but the dual clips was nice. I had to do a minor trim to get the clip back into place, but everything snugged up correctly with no leaking.
I can get the bar code and a picture if you like of the box I got.
