I weigh a hair under 170lbs and can stand on my feet or knees on my Leer 700 cover right behind the brake light. Stay on the edge and it should be good.

Perhaps the folks that pulled the liner out had meat hook hands. My hands are size large but thin enough that I could yank the wire and pulled it out of the plug thing holding it in place.

I weigh right at 170 too and I'm 5'9" (and 1/2 ) so I forget some people are 6'2" and 200+ lbs. I'm right at average height, but feel hobbit-like at times

Well I just went out an attempted to install it. This thing is a pain in the A$$

I sat through the back window lol.. I am 6' 2" 190

I'm going to return it.

Darren, is that first one you listed the exact one you have?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/2004-2008-FORD-F150-L-E-D-HIGH-MOUNT-3RD-THIRD-BRAKE-LIGHT-LED-SMOKE-LENS-/300998396520?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Model%3AF-150&hash=item4614e70a68&vxp=mtr
Any issues with it?

What bulbs did you use for the 2 outside? Simple plug and play on those?

I am going to need 2 new outside bulbs since the one is busted. and might as well upgrade to something brighter if it is simple plug/play

Hey, sitting through the back window was a good idea! I don't have that option though haha.

Yeah I'm surprised I could fit my shoulders or butt through there haha.

But I seriously worked on that for an hour trying to get those clips out and wire pulled through. I finally got the clips, but could t get the wired pulled out far enough. So I said screw it.

I'll grab the one like Darren.

Oh, I meant I don't have that option cause I have a solid rear window haha. I'm thin enough to fit

I think that's the better option anyway. You can get bulbs from superbrightleds.com or VLEDs.com that work up in there. There are some threads on the part number/bulb type for those, can't remember off the top of my head. Those two cargo ones are actually the last ones I need too.

Doing some searching now. looks like 921's are the part number.

Seems there are a vast selection of them haha. Different styles and pricing.

Also, just sent in the Recon 3rd brake light back to Amazon, and purchased the light Darren recommended.

Sorry for the late reply, but yes if you bought that one I first posted/one you last quoted, that is the right one. Good choice on the return man!

Yes the cargos are bulb # 921, I have 18 LED count triple tower types in mine that I ordered from Super Bright LEDs in 2010. They are still going strong and gleam bright. They are the hyper white type and 6000k in color. V-LEDs charges outrageously for the 921s for some reason. SuperBright was $18.99 if I recall.

Okay cool, Thanks for the reply

How do you think it would look if I had all LED on 3rd brake light, but no LED in taillights? Think that would still look okay.

I think that'll look fine, cause you can't really tell the difference except when in reverse. Otherwise, the LEDs are just brighter. I'm gonna have them in my cargos and not in my tails too.

Good call on returning the recon. I've had it for years and have hated it since I put it in. I didn't realize how good the ebay stuff could be until I got my tails. The recon white leds are terrible, barely light up my bed cover.

Yep, I think I'll be happy.

3rd Brake light should be in Tomorrow and New Bulbs should be in Saturday.

Dayyyyum! You're that tall?

I just don't understand why all the high(er)-dollar, namebrand parts don't actually use better products. Doesn't make any sense to me. Sucks to pay more to get less and worse.
