I see this on SuperBrightLEDs.com

578 LED Bulb - 9 LED Festoon ~ 6000 K or 4000 K

Then maybe one of these.

194 LED Bulb - 9 SMD LED Wedge Base Tower - 6800 K

194 CAN Bus LED Bulb - 9 SMD LED Wedge Base Tower - 7000 K or 4500 K

hHow much of a difference would 500 - 1000 K in color look?

It would probably bother me. Do you want the 5000k white, or 6000k white with blue hue? I personally would only want 5000k. Sucks that mine from retrosolutions look like a 6000k. I would buy only from V-LEDs due to this as all of their colors are a guaranteed match.

So V-LEDs is the way to go huh?

5K WHITE 15 LED HIGH OUTPUT DOME LIGHT BULB 345LM 42MM 211 211-2 578 ~ $20

And I see this one for the 194's in 5K, but it appears to be sold out and in "Pre-Order Only"

194 5K WHITE 6 LED HIGH POWER 360° 170LM | 1 PAIR (BACKORDER ETA 5-21-14) B/O ~ $20

Is there a different 194 you would recommend?

The 194s I got are great. And that's the same dome I found.

Just throwing this out there:

The Vleds in my truck (had for 4+ years now) began to die. The superbrightleds have held up better so far and were much cheaper. Go figure.

What was the link to the 194's that you got?

And that Dome has worked well for you?

Haha go figure. I was looking around SuperBrightLEDs but can't seem to find lights I want in the same color.

I think I would prefer to do 5K, but I did just get 6K lights for my Cargo light, so I could maybe do 6K. I got the 6K LED from Autolumination.com

Those 194s are literally stupid bright. Some people think they're dim eBay specials are bright, but these are genuinely too bright. I've even thought about turning them the wrong way to dim them a little haha.

I linked that one on the last page, but I didn't get the light exactly. It's what I would get if I were to do it again. I have a 38mm one that's slightly too small, and that 42 should be a perfect fit. I'm also definitely advocating 5k. They're nice and white just like I wanted.

That's interesting, John! Sometimes things work that way haha.

Cool, thanks man. I've got some deciding to do.

But before that I have to fix another issue before I can mess with the bulbs.

Today was the 2nd time that I've been through a car wash and ended up with water in my lap and in roof..

Not sure how it has happened, but I don't believe my sunroof is aligned perfectly when it is supposed to be shut. Soft rains it doesn't seem to leak. Only when pressurized water hits it.

Not fun.

Yeah.. Annoying.

Need to figure out why the seal isn't perfectly aligning correctly. Hope it is an easy fix. I'm guessing if hey had to take it out to replace something that it would be costly since the headliner would need to come out.

If you look up at the dome light you can see all the crap in there. That's how all that stuff got in there in the first place.

Darren,

Hey quick question.. After you installed your 3rd brake light, did you have any issues with turn signals or cruise control, or tail/brake lights?

Seems after I installed the one you got, My Drivers Rear Signal, Brake light went out, and now when I have cruise control on and hit the Right turn signal, it shuts off CC. -- Seems strange.

Didn't know if it was an LED light issue.
