Black Grills

I have a 2005 F150 Lariat with the standard honeycomb grill with the chrome liner. Does anyone have any other styles that are black? I'm trying to get some ideas of what I want to switch mine too. Thanks.

I like the standard black h bar grille and I found it online. How hard is it to replace it with my current one?

15 to 20' job some 8 bolts or so by the hood lip and one bracket on each side and you are done , straight forward bolt on job

That's exactly what I put on mine, had the honeycomb stock. I bought one from craigslist that came off of a black FX4, so I had to take the black surround off and put my white surround on. Not too difficult, just takes some time. You will have to "carve" out some of the plastic that goes around the screws/bolts that hold the surround to the grill and frame, as I don't think they were intended to ever be removed, but it's still perfectly fine. I'll gladly text or email pics if you want to know what you'd be carving. I wouldn't have done the swap if I thought it would have been overly "janky." There are pics of it in my albums. It's not just the bare plastic, it's been painted black so it's a little deeper/darker than one that's bare plastic.

I love the "H" grill, but I have bright and annoying LED lights back there so I'm committed to a full honeycomb.

And you know that mine H bar has become a problem for my LEDs back there haha

Yeah but you're clever, you worked your way around it pretty good. Contrary to popular belief, it's not easy mounting an LED lighting system back there without the "H" beam getting in the way.

As far as swapping grill frames with grills, I used a heat gun to warm the tabs and make them plyable, pretty much to the point to where they are re-angled. Upon putting the new grill in the shell, you can re-warm the tabs to take shape.
