Thumbs up 5.4L Badges!!!!

Anyone currently producing/selling 5.4L badges?
Haven't seen a thread re-opened on this subject. If someone had access to the equipment, they could really make a bundle judging by the responses to the threads from last summer through early 2001. Anyone?

Cool Working on them

I just purchased a laser engraving machine. I am looking for a company that makes an outdoor plastic in chrome/black so I can make these. I have designed a few different emblems and can make them in other colors that are UV coated. If you are interested I can email you the design.

I had 50 of those billet 5.4L badges made earlier this year and sold 48 of them in short order. I have one left if someone is desparate! If there is an interest I can have another 50 or even 100 made. I only have the 5.4L drawn up right now but I could draw up a 4.6L if that is what people want.

I think the next batch will be in the $20-25 range - I have since found a better/cheaper machine shop to make the parts!

the badges I had made were milled from 6061-T6 Aluminum. I painted them with gloss black paint, polished the paint off the top of the letters, and then clear-coated them. Finally, I used 3M double-sided foam tape to attach them to the truck.

I was just talking to my friend at the machine shop this morning... I will try and remember to get the file over to him so he can get started making another batch of those 5.4L badges.

I just sent the file for the 5.4L badge over to the machine shop for a quote. Hopefully my buddy over there will give me a good price. I will let you guys know when I decide to get some made up.

Sorry for the bad pic... my truck is much cleaner now I promise!!

I found this company in MN that makes very nice nameplates and badges. Maybe they could make some 5.4L and 4.6L badges with the same material and finish as the Ford nameplates.

Keep us posted on production dates...I would like nothing more than to put a 5.4L badge under each Triton V8 emblem and one on the tailgate under the F-150!!!

You would get much more interest if you can find someone to replicate the badge in plastic like the Ford badges! I would also be willing to buy a couple if they are near the $20 range if plastic isn't an option. Need one for my SCrew and one for the wife's EXPY.

Re: 5.4L Badges
I did express interest in those badges, however, I did not give you my E-mail address: Nicolinir@Gateway.net
What is the status of the badge production?
Thanks

I just got a message from my friend with the machine shop - they are scheduled to make 100 of the Billet 5.4L Badges (like the post above) in the next 4 weeks.

Fortunately, they will mill them for about half the price of the first batch. They have faster mills that can turn these parts out in literally minutes each. I am going to ask Roger if he would be interested in selling them on the Online Store.

Thanks for the interest, guys!
