windsheild tint

been kicking around the idea of doing some 35 % windsheild tint but dont really know what to expect any have any pros or cons. I know it would look awsome but hows functionality I have 20% on the sides now.

i have 5% all the way around with double 5% on my back glass. my windshield has 35% tint with i think 8" eyebrow thats done with 5%.

Pro's: keeps vehicle cool in summer, privacy
cons: if it's not a good tint job, it will turn hazy so be really careful. also, driving at night SUCKS. so i just upgraded to HIDs. i ride with my windows down and my back glass open and have never been pulled over for tint... i've been pulled over for ALOT of other things and never once was asked about the tint

Pros:
  • reduces top-of-the-windshield glare.
  • (depending upon your height) reduces the need to use the sun visors.
I went with the easy-to-remove-if-you-don't-like static cling, and am very satified with the results.

Tint:
  • front, sides - 38%
  • rear, sides - 20%
  • rear - 20%

I have mine done 30% with 5% all the way around and you cant see in, but can see out just fine. Night is a little difficult sometimes but you get used to putting yourself in spots you wont have to back out of. Its amazing how much cooler it stays inside and how much faster the AC gets cold.

i have two layers all the way around. back glass is 5% over the factory 20%, sides are 30% over 5%, and my windshield is 50% over 50% with a 5% brow. with the sun straight at my windshield you can still see my pillar post, the driver side dash where it sticks up, and sometimes my edge pod. now in the shade it looks completely black which is nice and private. i have retrofitted heads and 3000k hid fogs so im fine. here's a couple pics, first is looking around windshield and second is through windshield which isnt quite as bad as the picture makes it out to be (highs and fogs on)

here it is with PnP hid kit (highs and fogs on)

    FYI
Instant ticket if they catch you here tinting below AS1 line. Most states have a similar law.

I just got my front windshield done with 50%. You can still see through it some, but that's from the light coming through my back glass. I only went 20% over the factory tint so it would be the same as the 5% on the front sides. I can tell the difference of the truck staying cooler and don't have the glare anymore. The view at night with 50% is the same as it was with no tint.
