is it possible to vht nightshade the chrome plated f150 eblems to give it that black chrome look ??? thanks guys for the help i love my new truck!!!

 

what is the black chrome look? Post a pic. My thought is no, it will be black.

 

I have a feeling its possible since VHT nightshades is a translucent black. but I dont think you will get that shine black chrome look

 

Why not just get a black chrome overlay. It would be cleaner, simpler, and when you get board with it you can always just change it with a different one. Oh and they are way cheep to get too.

 

I did my front and back emblems and was able to wipe off the nightshade off the chrome surrounding of the oval after it was all dry. I don't think it will adhere right considering it is for plastic. I would suggest getting some Duplicolor Shadow for like $15

I haven't tried this stuff yet since it is a little expensive but I wanted to match the badging on my truck to the black chrome wheels on my FX2.

duplicolor makes a black chrome kit. with a paint and clear, i don't know for sure if it'll work on plastics, but its made to look like black chrome. just a thought.
