If I do either black this might be what I do.

^^ Haha. I just want to follow this thread since everybody has had good success with this Rustoleum. I want to respray my toolbox with this once the weather warms up, tractor enamel wasn't as durable and long lasting as I thought it would have been.

Can you tell us which brand of self etching primer you used? Also how many coats of self etching primer and do you have to wait a certain time for this self etching primer to work before you spray the liner itself? Thanks for the input.

I used dulipcolor Self etching and did 3 coats (letting each one dry) and then went over it with duplicolor black primer the same way.

Was the duplicolor the green stuff? If so it works great, I used it on several things now including a set of aluminum rims before I painted them.

I spray everything. If I was to use a bedliner type product, I'd leave out suspension and driveshafts. I'd stick with just paint for those.
