PTM mirror caps are on

I replaced my stock chrome mirror caps with new painted mirror caps and what a difference. I know ya'll hate pics but here are some anyway's.

Nice, I got some of the chrome covers and ptm'd them. It was my first attempt at rattle can paint and they are now chipping lasted about a year.

Everything was about $175. The paintable mirror covers were about $75 shipped from tasca and then about $100 to paint(used body shop). The paint guy said that my paint was a three stage instead if two stage but only $10 extra.

Nice. You should do the door handles/buckets and grille surround too.

Yeah, the list I have written down is never ending. It's just gonna take time since nobody want's to paint chrome because of peeling issues.

A body shop doesn't want to be reliable if it chips. I was told by a painter that it'll stick, but if a rock hits it, it'll chip easier than a painted black grill. If you can spray paint it yoursself I'd do it. Make sure to scuff the chrome then use an etching primer. You can easily do the grill for $20. Even if it does chip within a year or 2 you can redo it for cheap.

Looks great......wow, i have been wondering where to get mirror caps, i am going to do the same thing !! Leveling kit goes on monday......wheels and tires in spring

You should've painted it all black or all pearl white. Now it looks like it's unfinished, I don't like it!
