Please Help a Newbie!

Hey Guys!

I'm brand new to all of this. I don't know ANYTHING about trucks or cars. I just bought a 2010 F150 FX2. I'm wanting to give it a more "off the ground"/"athletic" look to my truck. I have done a lot of research and was thinking about a 2'' level with maybe a small lift... I don't have a lot of money to spend... Do you think a level with maybe bigger tires would be a good way to go? Please HELP! Thanks! Pictures would be appreciated.

A leveling kit would be the best and cheapest way to get just a couple inches, but the sky is the limit. You will get your answer and pictures a lot quicker if you use the search function on leveling kits.

I have a 4x4 so it sits a little higher than your FX2...but a leveling kit is perfect for what I wanted.

I don't offroad as much as I'd like so a lift didn't fit the budget. I went with a 2" Autospring leveling kit and alignment. And then 20" XD monsters with 33x12.5 Toyo MT to gain a little more height. Now it sits higher so most people think its lifted but I can also park it in the garage.

When I upgrade to a new truck I'm debating a 6" lift or leveling again with my same wheels and tires...I love the look of a lifted truck, but the money spent on extra parts to get the look may not outweigh my want to be able to park the truck in my garage (8' door) and the extra cost of gas, tires and possibly new gears.

I think a 2" lift and 33s would look pretty sick

Awesome guys. Thanks! I think I'm going to do a 2" leveling kit. And maybe a little add-a-leaf. With some 33ish All terain tires. I'll post pictures when I get it done. Thanks for the help!

leave it just like that and get some rims, i would suggest any kmc wheel or bmf s.o.t.a.'s which is what i'll be buying when it comes time for new tires. i would not go over 20's on the rims. don't mess with the add-a-leaf. it'll put the rake back into the truck which doesnt look good. it looks great as-is

Very nice,

I have leveled 2wd and added a 3" block to the rear (I had to get longer shocks in the back because of this... I'm thinking about changing to an AS as my current 3" spacer only raised the truck 2"... so it's a bit lower in the front than I wanted... tires are 32's for now...

Congrats and welcome to the forum... It'll get addicting and cost ya some money... but paying attention to the great info here has enabled me to spen LESS money on the progects that I have done... but I've found many MORE projects...

Enjoy!!
