You think I don't want a new truck? I already asked my dad.
I told him I'd buy all the gas. All he would doing was the payments, insurance, down payments and taxes and tags and inspections.

But he said no. I have asked more than once and he keeps giving lame excuses.
"Son, your mother and I are on a fixed income, besides your 55 years old"...blah,blah,blah

It just pisses me off and I'm thinking about moving out.

To the OP, do what YOU want to do to your truck. Who cares if it's a little old? Over the years i've probably put about $7k into a $3k truck. But it's my truck and it's the way i like it so that's all that matters.

To some of the others that think that just because some of the others are younger than them that they can be all high and mighty, give it a rest. I personally have had my truck for five years now and guess what? It hasn't been totaled or wrecked even once! Those of us that have had to actually pay for everything have a higher respect for our vehicles than you would imagine. And yeah it's might be 97, but it's gonna ride till the wheels fall off!

Sell it and buy something more practicle. Get something that will keep on going for years to come and that will be cheap to drive and maintain.

Here is how you post a pic, or you can upload them to your albums.

I'll admit, I do have one "logo" type sticker on my truck, but odds are nobody here will know what/who it is without looking it up.

You need to either host the picture in your gallery on this website, or upload it to photobucket or something other hosting site. Then copy the web address for the picture and put around the address.

It's a Kirby Morgan 37 diving helmet. I got the sticker with some parts I ordered a while back.

It's what I use when diving for work:

Correct.

The Kirby Morgan 37 Commercial Diver's Helmet is one of the most popular designs in the world. It's considered the standard of the commercial diving industry.

I'm kinda partial to the 27 myself, I just feel it fits me better. If I could pick any of their helmets, I'd probably dive the 77 just cuz it looks cool. Who wouldn't want an entirely stainless steel helmet?

All 15 year old drivers think that. Let us know how it goes over the next 10 years or so!

As for better, I think they meant something more affordable for a teenager. Trucks suck down gas (ask Raptor, he used to always complain about not being able to drive his truck cuz he couldn't afford gas, and he's got a V6!), you're going to have to do maintenance on your truck since it's up there in miles, the last thing you need is for the transmission to go out, or something like that.

Search the site for high mileage f150s and look into what kind of problems you can expect, and if you're lucky, you might be able to cut some of them off before they start. Either way, if you plan on keeping it you'd better figure out a way to save up to repair it.

Here's your pic:
