Blue Neon Behind Grill
Blue Neon Behind Grill
Found a brand new blue Pilot neon underbody kit that was being thrown away on the side of the road. I knew i didnt like the whole underbody glow thing so the grill looked like it needed light. So i took one of the 36in lights and mounted it behind the grill what do you guys think.[IMG][IMG]

[/IMG]I wanted to do something similiar but never did, they are right its only asking to get harassed by cops and to me thats not worth it. Especially a ticket. Anyways I think it would look better in the opening on the chrome bumper. Just not directly in it but where it still shines out of it
I think if u leave it there or where ever u put it u need to hide it alittle better. I think OklaF150 is right when he said looked cheap, simply provided a nice blue glow. I dont like when you can see the actual neon tube, but see just the glow it provides. Like where it is glowing blue at the bottom looks nice, but seeing the tube up top takes away from it IMO.

Still you're asking for a ticket.
Lol actually out would be impersonating an officer, that really is the ticket he would get and that ticket isn't a little one

They say I'm asking for tickets when I have this and it has actually got me out of some tickets. Of course minor violations but still. Cops laugh about it. Only had one guy that was a ***** but he was having a bad day.
Do what you want to your truck. If cops pull you over just abide to them and everything will be okay.
I believe as long as you cant see the light itsself, and only the "glow" or light output you're okay.
In Waco they pulled over cars all the time with underglows that were mounted too low and you could see the light tube

Looks good...I have a million color changing one in my grill as well. Same mount position as well. Just don't use it on a public roadway and you will be fine.
In Texas all colors are no illegal besides white. Don't use it or you will eventually get stopped. Parking lots, drive thrus etc you should be fine.

Not a fan, not sure why..I think it's because I can see the bulb.
As for the legality of it, yea it's very illegal. Would I pull you over for it? Nope, not unless it's 4am and I'm bored

Just keep in mind that if you are on a public road, and you turn on the light and the vehicle in front of you yields to what that person perceives to be an emergency vehicle, you will not get a ticket. You will be arrested. And all it takes is for that person to call it in on their cell phone and agree to testify.
So do not allow yourself the temptation to turn it on while "stuck in traffic".
And I have seen some that look pretty cool. That one is just to big for the space. Move it to underneath the bed.
