Do what you want to your truck. If cops pull you over just abide to them and everything will be okay.
but thats theres a difference, your tag is completely legal no matter what an officer says. his light is not. oh btw i've always loved your tag.

In Waco they pulled over cars all the time with underglows that were mounted too low and you could see the light tube
yeah that's the general rule with underglows i believe but there are certain colors you cannont have anywhere like blue and red.

Everyone seems to have a different idea of what's legal, color - mounting - whatever. I'm positive that if anyone calls their local police department they'll be told that running ANY exterior light on the street that is not DOT approved is illegal. The local police where I am told me the same thing, but they also said they don't pull people over for it unless they are red, white, or blue which are emergency vehicle colors.

BTW - I like the tube behind the grille, but if you don't plan on adding more I'd move it to the bumper.

You can dig thru the regs for individual states...pay attention to the marker light colors, colors emitting from rear and forward of vehicle as well as running lights. You used to be able to run a lot of different colors in other states as long as they were a solid, could not see the tubes (light source), did not change and were not red/blue....you can pretty much cross it off your list as most state laws and lighting ordinances have caught up with the underglow kits.
