Any way of making black paint stick to a grill

I know the answer would usually be powdercoating but the roush grill will not withstand the temperatues. Sanding and krylon fusion also didn't work. Any sucess with this. I've read the threads and haven't heard any tried and true methods to sucessful painting without flaking. Any help is greatly appreaciated. Thanks.

Scuff it. Then spray with one mist coat of plastic primer then another light coat slightly heavier. Then lightly scuff plastic primer and spray with one mist coat of Rustoleum black, then spray one regular coat. Let dry for 20 minutes and then hit with another.

If it doesnt work then ill eat my truck piece by piece

BTW Fusion sucks. Ive never had any luck with it except on snowmobile parts. It always looks blochy or spotty and then it scrapes right off.

If its chipping off, you're doing a horrible job clearing it (if you are at all). Do all the prep and paint work yourself, and have a body shop clear it.

adhesion promoter and primer or take it to a body shop and have them paint it.
