Replacing chrome with black parts

Im starting to replace my chrome parts on the truck with black parts cause im gettin tired of the chrome thing.

I just blacked out my side emblems as a start and have the rears and ovals to do still. Also will be hitting the faded gray trim and valence with satin fusion.

Im looking to get a new grille because of the chrome surround i figured it would be a pain to sand and paint that to get it to look decent. Im thinking about either going with a black surround and honeycomb or this

Which would you all recommend?

For wheels im going to keep the stock 16" size because those toyos are brand new i got on there. just looking to go for a black wheel. Do any of you think these will look decent on my truck? or any other suggestions?

For the bumpers i will be getting new front because of the nice dent from being backed into. but other than that i was thinking those would still look decent being chrome because the exhaust tips and chrome accents on the wheels? any input is appreciated thanks

I think the wheels will look good. I've been looking for some black steels to go on my white screw also.

I like what you did with the side emblems. Is that just spray painted?

I've been thinking about doing the ovals in black too. How are you doing your's?

Also are you planning on doing the bumpers? I'd be interested to know about that too.

yeah im going to do the lightning corners very soon i just have to make sure they are going to fit the set that came with the heads only the left corner fit the right wiring harness wouldnt fit i guess thats what i get for replicas lol. but sounds good on the wheels i think i am going to do those pacers just for a lil diff look than what i have now.

for the emblems i taped them off really good with painters tape and newspaper to prevent over spray. then i sanded them down not sure on what sandpaper but it was pretty fine. cleaned really good with rubbing alcohol and started hitting them with krylon fusin satin black. took about 3 light-medium coats to get that look. let the paint dry for a about 2 hrs and then sprayed them with 2 light-medium coats of satin clear.

was it the socket for the bulb wouldnt let you put the corner in all the way? if so you have to turn it a certain way to get it to fit right. i think i want to say the wires need to be angled up and towards the headlight or down at an angle to fit correctly
