Does anyone know where I can get a set of Harley Davidson Headlights. I don't want to paint my OEM ones. 2005 F150.

look on ebay. i was looking for them for my 08 and came across the ones i ended up buying(in my sig) the harley ones are usually expensive, one reason i went with mine. also look at hella, they are almost the same as the harleys but i think the turn signal lense is different. not sure tho. but take a look around, look for projector headlights too as they do have ones with the black backround.

 

If you buy eBay cheapies, you get what you pay for.

I bought real Ford Harley Davidson edition F150 headlights from Tasca Ford Parts, a sponsor here.

If you want black headlights, go for Hella headlights from Summit or Amazon.

 

I got cheap ones just get some sealant and throw it on the seal before install and they are great

 

Just wait until the lenses start crazing. Happened to me, then I bought the real deal. No problems since.

 

How long did that take? Not sure if the Harleys are special, but my OEM lights are starting to get "crazing." This is the second set (granted, I bought them used), since the first set did the same thing. Nothing crazy, but it's noticeable. I think my dad's F150 lights are doing the same.

 

Well my cheapo eBay Depo headlights crazed less than a year.

 

Just need to take better care of them. Clay bar them, Plast-X them, polish, and wax, treat them like paint, detail it all seasonally, they'll be fine. The cheap ebay crap I cant say for sure, but my heads are from an '08 FX4 and were only used for 4 months before I bought them from a member so I had a clean start to begin with and after 2 years of summer heat, and winter salt & bitterness, they still look fantastic .

 

Where did you get your Harley ones?

 

yup. i just threw them on because they said waterproof and that they wouldnt fog up. well after about 5 days the passenger side fogged up. didnt have time to do anything to them until like 3 weeks later when i took them both out and had to let them sit in the sun. drivers side barely fogged up but the passenger side i had to drill a small hole to let the 2 or 3 tablespoons of water drain out. then i took a hair dryer and evaporated the rest. then sealed up the hole and the edges and put them back in. been fine ever since.

mine havent yet, been in for 1 year and 2 months. and i have also seen the stockers do that.

well if you need YET ANOTHER pair, i have the ones off my 08 that were only used for7 months but were on the truck for more like 1 year including sitting at the dealership or whatever. they have been in the box that my ebay ones came in since i switched them. still look brand new. let me know if you, or anyone for that matter, are interested.

 

Timmypstyle, you don't even have real harley lights or even harley style lights.

 

 

sorry, ummm didnt realize you all were talking about the harleys...seemed like the convo was more on the cheapys and the OEMs...which i said i had a pair in case elvato, or anyone else was interested....and i never said that i had harley ones...thats why my comment was a DIRECT response to elvato after he said 2 sets of OEMs hazed on his.

its only burn if the person its directed to was actually wrong...
