Tinting help
Not true! Why would a car have special laws as oppose to your truck or any other SUV riding around with factory 18% tint on the back.
The tint looks good Jake, Wish i could do it to mine but with my luck i would get pulled over within a mile of the tint shop. We got the Rear windows and the back glass of my wifes Taurus done about 6 months ago and i went 5 percent on it and not even a week later DPS pulled her over for the rear windows being to dark and gave her a warning(he said on a 4 door car the rear windows has to be the same legal limit as the front) . He didnt pull her over for speeding or anything he saw the dark tint and got her. Watch out for DPS they will rip you a new one. City cops arent so bad, Once again it looks awesome.

i know the back windows on my truck have different rules than cars but the laws with tinting get really confusing these days.
Sure you could. Just stray away from alcohol/ammonia based cleaners. Meguiars window cleaner is safe for tint, and stoners claims to be.
I've had good results with Stoners... Been using it for 6-7 months since tint has been on with zero problems
i also have some of what your talking about but it cant be seen inside.
I don't know where you guys have been tinting your windows and/or getting the tickets, but TX law is the windows immediately around the driver that can obstruct his view (ie the windshield and front windows) cannot be tinted past a certain point - which was 20% a couple of years ago but may have been changed recently. You can tint the back windows and rear window solid if you'd like, hence why they call it "limo tint"...this applies to cars, SUVs and trucks not used commercially (requiring a Class A or B license). A different rule applies to commercial vehicles, which has stricter rules as they are "professional drivers" and need to see better and can't have tint, etc...I believe he told you the law backwards. You should be fine as long as there is no tint on the windshield other than above the marked area for the eyebrow, and the front two have ~20% or less. This applies to your F150 or a sedan.
Driving through west and south Texas I have been stopped in various vehicles for tent discrepancies (they use it as probable cause to pull you over...thank you drug/human smugglers!) but never have received a ticket, but up further north where I live they don't mess with you as much unless it's really beyond legal or they're needing cash flow at the end of the month.

is the dots real thick on the bottom and top? he just said it would make it that much more noticeable that it has windshield tint. Ive had tinted windshields on my last 2 trucks and driving w/o it really sucks. think im gonna go on and pull the trigger after seeing this thread
Glad to help convince ya
