Cant see the pic..

but hey i had a buddy do 35% and 5% strip with 5% all around. looked really good.

but when you do the strip dont go any lower then the factory strip because then it makes it harder to see out.
in my bros f350 the people before him went lower then the stock brow and in his the bottom of the strip and top of windshield unstripped is what your lookin out at. bugs the hell out of me when i ride with him

Deja vu? (Already shown you this, but posting it up in case anyone else does a search and finds this thread...)

50% will be good if you just want it for looks. It will get rid of that crappy green hue.

35% is the lowest I'd go. I got mine done @ 35% and couldn't tell that big of a difference driving home that same day, but then again my vision is excellent. :dunno:

The rear is always harder to see out of than the front when it's tinted because it's tinted from the factory.....but I do hate having to back up at night. Going forward is not an issue at all.

I'm running 35% on the windshield with a 5% brow, 15% on front sides, stock rear sides (18%), and 5% over the rear windows. It's perfect for me on each part except the rears. Here are a few pics....the ones looking out from inside the truck are when I had 5% over the 15% on both front and rear side windows. Pulled that off, though, because that was way too much, although the privacy was nice. I could pick my nose next to a cop and he'd never know. I'd say go 35% if cops are lax in your area----I am very lucky because I live in SC, which is lenient with everything. Plus living on a college campus is a bonus. They could care less. It is nice, though, being able to stare directly at the sun in the mornings.

It was worth it for me....completely changes the look. Was $100 for the windshield and $15 for the brow.

Looking out on a semi-overcast day (when I also had 5% over sides):

Before windshield tint:

After windshield tint:

Have you checked the current tint limit in TX? You may check the check the current legal window tinting limits for cars at http://www.TintBuyer.com. They also gives information about tints like its types, quotations and help locate the best window tinters near your area. I hope this helps
Not most states, all states. Windshield tint is illegal everywhere.

sounds good man... your gonna love the new tint... and by the way, be prepared, a lot of people will ask you... "why do you wear sunglasses with tint so dark" ... at least they do with me.. I have no problem with wearing sunglasses with window tint that dark.. actually prefer to during the day

Any of you guys do your own tinting? Is it as easy as the videos make it out to be?

Jake, you're making me want to do this as well. I was at the shop while getting the STX removed and was checking it out. What's it like driving at night with 35% on the windshield to those who have done it? I plan on getting my windshield 35%, brow/everything around 5%.

A $15 sunshade is a cheaper alternative and then NO sun gets in the windshield when it's hot.

I know you said you dont care about the legality but just to keep yourself a little less inconspicuous the windshield should have whats called an AS-1 line legally you cannot tint below this line. Just to keep yourself from getting caught I would leave your eyebrow above this line.
