I have a 2008 F-150 FX4 super cab 6.5' bed with the auto sensing headlights and factory fog lamps.
I bought a set of 8000k HiD bi xenon headlights from intensehid.com
I too had the same problem with the fog lights back feeding into the highbeams and making the indicator light to glow slightly.
After checking out a few forums and having my friend look up the wiring diagram for the fog relay.
We opted for the "Bambi Mod" to solve my problem.
We located the fog relay in the fuse panel. It was gray in my truck. Pulled it out, found pin #1 and bent it back around so it wouldn't make any contact when the relay was plugged in. Took a female spade connector, attached it to the bent #1 pin, taped it off for extra protection. Connected a wire to the spade connector, and ran that wire to the grounding bolt below the fuse panel. Wa la. Fog lights now work with the factory switch in the parking lights, low beam and high beam.
Fixed my fog light back feeding problem.

I'm not sure on that. I really wish I could run my fogs and park lamps at the same time.

That's basically what you are doing when you bend the #1 pin of the fog relay.

when you turn the parking light switch on, and pull the fog light out, they come on. they stay on as long as you have the parking lights and the fog light switch on... for high and low beam too.

I turned mine to auto lights, and when I unlock the doors, the parking, headlamps and fog lights come on. when I lock the doors, the parking lights and just the fog lights flash.

I would get either 55w 5000k/6000k for the best light output. If you do get some for your fogs get 35w and a rating below if you want the color to match.
For example 55w 6000k will be similar color to 35w 5000k. I have 55w 5000k headlights and 35w 4500k fogs and to my eye they match perfectly.

Also when you do get them dont forgot to reaim your head lights and diable the perimeter lighting.

Thats because the majority of people run 6000K. It has a slight blue look to them. The best visible light comes from a 4300K. A pure white when looking at them.
