Which HID Kit???????

I can imagine that this question is difficult as I have seen so many different kits and prices available and heard so many stories of poor warranty and quality. I have a 2009 FX4 and I find the headlamps totally useless! I can't belive Ford has allowed these out of their factory. Anyway I would appreciate any advice as to HID kits, experiences, who to stay away from or who do you reccomend.

Thanks!!

Im going to get bashed for it, DDM. I love mine, and for the price, you cant beat it. People talk about the poor quality, however, i get compliments every day on mine. My hid's are my favorite aftermarket mod other then train horns.

Unless its got a proper retro-fit projector, don't even bother with the ricer conversion kits. Poor quality and quite dangerous to other motorists.

BTW, IDNC, do you know if it's some coding bug that made our "Technical Article Contributor" titles disappear when we got the TOTM picture in there?

Retrofit or Silver-stars. The retro-fit is bad azzzz and you can see 1000000 times better than stock..

That is a poor justification for it, and you must have been driving around with high beams on...The amount of glare from those cheap conversion kits is atrocious.

Incorrect good HID hating sir. low beams like usual.

I did however forget to add, i have since then blacked out my heads which does reduce a bit of glare. other then that, i get compliments daily for my HID's.

i hear all the time,

"wow those things are bright. Look good, where can i get a set"

"DDM Tuning"

My head HID's are a $400 kit and I get flashed all the time don't think it matters what kind you have. The reflective headlight housings refract the light everywhere. I'm going Retrofit asap. I just don't see any retro's that are appealing to me ahahah.

I got flashed daily with the stock headlights with the crappy factory low beams. Now with the HID retrofit I haven't gotten flashed once. Of all the HID kits i have seen in the past, they spray their light pattern everywhere and reaaaallly sucked to drive towards. And with the hid kit, you don't get cool cut-off lines like this:

I will get some for you. Give me some time though. I myself would love to do this. Also do it with my two Hellas.
