HID Canada

After a bad experience with less expensive unit...I have decided to spend more money and get something more reliable from reviews I have gotten from other users.

I went all the way out and purchased their latest and newest product....which is CANBUS and supposedly it will eliminate the error without the need to buy a separate canceller kit...

RSX HID Conversion Kit

Here's some stuff from their site...

RSX Digital Ballast Technology

Welcome to the latest generation HID ballast technology. This is not your run of the mill ballast.

◦Thin profile.
◦Digitally regulated.
◦EMI filtered.
◦CANBUS protocol technology.

These are only some of the technologies packed into this exclusive ballast from HID Canada.

The RSX ballast system is more than 50% thinner than it's CSX CANBUS predecessor.

XSV HID Bulb Technology

E4 and CE certified manufacture
Philips UV-filtered quartz glass tube (Germany APL pill)
Messer xenon gas charged with high purity mercury
Sylvania OE electrode
Luminous flux ~3200lm
Lifetime ~3500 hours

Here are some pictures of their product you will also notice the control unit is full waterproof just as the ballasts.

that "controller" is nothing more than a relay.

If your talking about the DDM relay harness then you got a messed up one. My harness looks exactly like that one.

That kit is EXACTLY the same as my ddm tuning raptor kit. The ballast is the only thing different just because it has different words on it. The bulbs, relay, and all the wires are the same to.

Reason for the black tape around the wire leading into the left ballast (headlight) was because I soldered in some extra wire to reach all the way up to the top then across then down to the ballast.

I was just saying because I don't see any problems with mine over yours. I don't know the price of yours but mine for fogs and Headlights with a relay was 107 total including shipping just to compare the two. I mounted my ballasts inside my engine compartment where they are not exposed to the elements. There may be some water get to them but never enough to damage them. I would do them like that. Brent

Okay...now that I see the pictures the control units are different from DDM and HIDCanda. Mine is completly sealed and yours on the other hand is not I have the exact same one that started melting from DDM I will even post you some pictures of the melting one and the new one. The DDM control units are not sealed properly and theirs not seal even when u open it up...so I would suggest you do 2 things...put it in a dry place that no water will reach it...or seal it with some silicone on each side... ....pictures coming

I even had opened it up and inside the board is black from the short...I would suggest whoever has a DDM unit and water can get to it ...or silicone each side that the unit opens up or put it in a place away from water.

New kit looks great--glad you're happy with it.

FYI you just got a bad kit. I've hosed my engine down numerous times and have had absolutely no problems. As far as the new kit being more reliable....that's subjective. Mine have worked flawlessly from day 1.

I was thinking about mentioning you Mblouir. I remembered how your fog ballasts were mounted down behind the bumper and you never had any problems. And to Ricky Bobby FX4 I love mine. They have always worked flawlessly since I got them around two months ago and I would definately get the raptors again. Nothing against the slims just the raptors are cheaper and if you mount them how I did it doesn't matter how big they are.
