Chrome is good...depending on the color of your truck and the look your going for...

 

and yet, all the tips on his "exhaust" aren't chrome, or just aren't shined up....how odd....

 

i don't know how always people thinks that we the Mexicans use a lot of chrome in our trucks, not all of us like that, i don't like that much chrome, i just like to have chrome rims and billet grill thats all, i don't like that some people on this forum sees a bad looking truck and says "OH IT'S MEXICAN"
or some **** like that, i really hate that, it's like being racist on us, but what can i say..

yeah you have very good looking trucks, but you should also look that some mexicans have very nice looking cars and trucks, but bah
i just hate that some americans think that we have ugly preferences or something...

And my opinion on chrome exhaust tips..the acid from the exhaust pits the chrome too easy.My tip was chrome..or is chrome..under the black..its factory and the end is welded on the pipe..it was pitted.If it came out the back I would of gone chrome,but behind the tire gets all the road salt.I actually sanded it and painted it with flat black header paint.Had chrome tips on my durango and put on 3 tips in 5 yrs all on the same stainless exhaust..they just dont seem to hold up.Dont forget I'm in Cleveland and we pour the salt on the roads..eats away exhaust systems.

Oh and Daolf.. here in Cleveland we don't refer to overdone pimped out vehicles as mexican..here we say there too Puerto Rican.But its NOT a put down its just a comment due to some way out custom jobs.Heck a bud of mine..puerto rican..did his 8 yrs olds huffy bike and it damn it had a twisted chrome ft end, gangster white walls,wheelie bar..it was laid out,and he said he gave it a little Puerto Rican "Culture".And I joked and told him it was missing dingle ***** off the banana seat..to which he told me to kiss his ***..all in FUN.
I have a 78 anniversary vette,belong to American cruisers car club and go to lots of cars shows..there are lots of Mexican and other cultures represented by area clubs..and they all have there own style..and we all get rubbed on by the different groups.
The only reason I mention this is because you used the word "Racist". I hate that damn word because thanks to idiots like Sharpton and Jackson its lost its meaning and used everytime some one gets there feelings hurt.
Not every "stupid" or "ignorant" comment made is racist...and I think there are a lot more ignorant people runnning around than racists.
The 60's are dead..the movement is dead..but to keep there "Income" alive guys like sharpton and jackson are trying to keep the hate alive.
Sometimes a joke is just a joke...and stupidity as we all know has no color.

I'm with Shanks. I had too much of the chrome stick on crap and soon grew tired of it, it starts to look cheap and cheesy. I ended up changing mirror covers and handle to ptm.

 

well dude, when you live in texas and see trucks like this, you can pretty much guess who drives it. not in a racist way, one of my best friends is mexicans and we joke about tacky, overdone trucks/cars. how many white people do you see with a ton of chrome **** on their vehicles. i never said there werent ANY but not as many as mexicans. black people do it too.

"we" americans? if you were born in the US you are american whether you are black, mexican, asian, indian what ever.

no not all mexicans are like that, but most are. some mexican rides look good.

Same experience here - They did, however, send me 1/2 of the items again for free, although those experienced the same fate. Since then I've de-chromed quite a bit with only a few accents here and there.

OP - if you plan on doing chrome add-ons, I'd say keep it minimal... as in, less is more as far as looks go
