Patriot Decal Install ?

Whats the best way to install my patriot decal for my tailgate I Just got? I saw some guys sand them down but I don't know what I wanna do.

Suggestion guys ??

I'd say it depends on what you want. Mine is just straight over the factory oval, so the raised Ford letters can be seen through the oval. I like it in a way--it's a neat touch. Looking back I wish I had sanded mine down smooth, though.

So to conclude: no help from me.

haha ok I kinda want it to be smooth should I just sand it down till I get it down to the smoothness I want ??? What grit paper y'all think should start with i don't wanna F' this up

Well I figured it out and here is what I ended up with:





It was much easier to do than I thought just applied enough windex on the emblem so it would slide around and i could have time to position it. you can see a little crease on the bottom left corner that I couldn't fix but it is find you can't see it unless you get right up on it. Whatcha guys think ?

Looks fantastic. Great job on it--I had a few small creases on mine but they managed to work themselves out over time.

Quit backing into stuff.

A hairdryer and a wet rubber sqeege will take out that crease.

I didn't back into anything Matt Guy before me did, The crease is already gone 70 degrees a day before december in SC gotta love it. It is gone now.

yeah you shouldnt have had to, you have an 04. In 06 they switched to the raised lettering
