Personal preference...I have a black truck and prefer the black sidewall, my cousins Silverado is dark blue and looks OK with outlined white letters. See if the tire shop will mount one tire and put it on your truck to check it out.

Just my thoughts. Thin side wall tires should have black walls, looks better, but a bulky 70 side wall on a certain wheel can pull the look off, depending on the tire font style too. All stock 4wd trucks with 285s or 305s with stock wheels look great with white font walls.

Yeah that's what I've always thought, can't really be pulled off with 255/265 without looking funny.

I'm glad I not the only one that can appreciate different styles... Raised white lettering will work and looks good with the correct setup...

x2 on the white out. on my white truck, it not only reminds me when its time to clean, when it is clean and the truck is rolling the myraid of spinning white attracts the attention of other driver to your wheels. so its a win/win situation. believe me, when i got my new Michelins the guy put them black-out and i drove my buddies car as he drive my truck, and i immediately took it back and told him to reverse it. it just looks so cool when its moving.

there are some that look real good with white letters... example: BFG AT's... those look amazing with the white, make tires really stand out... but I have the Baja ATZ's... which are black and I would not personally like them in white, i think they stand out more in black... idk, just couldn't imagine them in white.

white letters = just something else to have to clean as if there's not enough already, just a pia as far as an opinion beauty is in the eye of the beholder i guess it just depends on the ride they are rolling with

Wrong decade. The 70's had disco and bell bottoms, the 80's were hair bands and mullets.

I grew up in the 80's sportin a mullet and listening to Motley Crue, Ratt, Def Leopard, Bon Jovi, Dokken, White Snake, etc... and driving a cutlass supreme with rear air shocks and white letter tires. So, I happen to like the white letters out.

Took the words right out of my mouth.

I wouldn't have white letters out on an old, or new vehicle, car or truck.

Black out, always !

Peace,
Fish

I second that. But yeah as Raptor stated, 'white walls attracts your attention'; I'm pretty sure it will enhance the look of your rims. The only 2 issues you'll have is constant maintenance and being extremely careful while parking next to a curb. Dirty white walls are definitely not attractive, especially, worn out white walls. Constantly rubbing your tires on the side of the curb will wear out your white walls, well, at least on the drivers side, unless you move to England. But then again, you only have to worry about these 2 issues if your truck is a street queen. But no worries if you will be doing this on a weekly basis:
