well man, i looked at your handles then walked out and looked at mine and i think i will redo them wth krylon. i think my dupli color had discolored or teh clear did. either way i am taking them off and doing them off the truck this tim. plus i have some chips i need to get rid of. great thread, lots of info and bonding over our PTM quest

Yeah... I want to do the handles too... I painted my with black fusion and they are not as good as I want. I think I want to find a set in the future and PTM them and have them installed.

truckguy it is easier then you would think to get the handles off. if i know this the first time i did it, i would have taken them off then. i am lucky that i have my wifes car so i can leave them off over night (tonight) and assemble them tomorrow after they have time to set.

the clear was yellowing on my handles. i sanded them down and the white came thru nice and bright. i bought some krylon and did a handle with half krylon and half dupi-color. there is a sight brightness on the krylon side but they are VERY hard to differentiate even when painted next to each other. the krylon is a much easier paint to deal with. better coverage, brighter color and it holds a better shine even before the clear goes on. i also got the krylon clear and they brag about the non yellowing so i went with them. we will see.

again i am soo glad i took off the handles, able to get much better coverage and no tape lines or overspray.
