No new updates, hard to do stuff while looking for a job (so if anyone wants to hire a part-time college student, please let me know!) but I did manage to borrow a Nikon D90 from the media lab at school. So here's a spontaneous photo-shoot!

I forgot if I've mentioned this or not before, but I'm thinking of re-doing the dash again. It was a spur of the moment idea, and as you can tell from the photos some of the stickers are lifting up (summer heat I guess?). But so if anyone has any ideas, I'm open minded. So far I've thought of:
  • Gloss Black
  • PTM DSG
  • Plasti-Dip

But if anyone does have any ideas, please do let me know.

Thanks!

Once again, no new updates (other than I found a job, so keep an eye on this! ) but I was trying to teach myself how to do more with photoshop and came up with these. Don't worry I'm not actually plotting to do any of these, but I had fun while learning the software better.

FX4 Style

I had trouble with getting this colour down right, but I was going for the burnt orange from the Nissan 350Z...

Much too bright, but the idea was the HD Deep Purple

Looks a little pale for some reason, but I'm still learning more and more...

And, while I'm not sure why my favorite...

Just had fun the other night with this, and thought y'all would enjoy.

I love the 350 copper/burnt orange color. Looks neat on your truck. The last one is awesome too

Just a teaser, but I've got some major work going on whiten next one or two weeks so keep your eyes open.

But while I've got your attention, I have a question (I did search, and I found many contradictory answers, so I figured I'd just ask again).

Other than a very short period right after I got her, she's been running the 5W-20 Syth Blend from Ford. Now that I've hit the 50K mark, would it be advisable to switch to a full synthetic? I plan on never getting rid of this truck (I don't have kids, and I'd love to teach my kids how to drive on her, if that gives you an outlook on how long I want to keep her mint).

Thanks for the advice, and as I said keep an eye out for updates very soon!

I can't wait to see if bud! And stick to the 5w20 MC, can't beat the price and it's a proven and insanely good oil.

So, a few days late on getting the pictures up - sorry dudes. I've gotten used to using the D80/D90's from the lab, and it's hard to go back to my point-and-shoot $60 Sony. That being said I wasn't thinking about what time of the day that I took these pictures in, and the sun is so bright that it really alters the colour. So keep in mind that other than cropping and rotating none of these pictures are edited. Also, I am sorry that I don't have video. I tried to record something with my Sony, and it didn't record. So once I fix it (or find another camera I'll get some video).

ANYWAYS....

I am actually quite pleased with how this one turned out!

Fall 2011 Part I: DONE!

Edit: Realized I didn't put up the specs. OEM exhaust cut off right after cats. Flowmaster 40 series. The guy who did the work has a Lightning, and this was the setup that he built for his. I quite literally asked him to copy his system.

So it's a official. I'm going crazy...

I just spent $300 on eBay on buying something from a 2011 F150 Lariat that I know won't fit my truck, and is in the wrong colour.

Yes, I have an idea; and at this point since I've already paid for it I don't have much of a choice other than to press on.

Anyone want to know, or should I just post pictures when it gets here?

Still need one of these (have one, but it's the home computer so I need another one that I can play with):

Or at least that's the long term plan.

I'm going get a more realistic idea of how all of this is going to play out when I get the parts in my hands,
but at the moment I'm thinking
keep the column shifter and use that part of the console for a trackpad or something.

Crazy 3am ideas...

Cheers!
