Some Recent Updates I thought I'd share!
Thanks.
When I get it all working I'll post the final part numbers, so if anybody wants to copy my setup they'll know exactly what to get and they won't have this runaround of parts...
I'm not quite sure why you posted this, but k...
Good job I guess...
I got mine from Patriot.

To remove the hub, you will have to get it pressed off, prob at a machine shop and then get the new ones pressed on = $ and pain in the a$$
If tirerack has ones that are already pressed together, just get those and call it a day. Cheaper in the long run.
I have also heard that alot of people are having problems with them warping. IMO, the slotted rotors dont add all that much unless you are going to be towing alot. But hell if they dont look good

We'll see what happens when I get the box...
I've got the same engine and the rotors are difficult to find. Let me know how you like yours
A couple of weeks back I was going to swap them out cuz they were warped pretty badly, and I was going to go with the slotted or drilled. But it was difficult to find ones for our trucks so I just got them turned.
FYI- they have to be turned ON the truck, for future reference. Imagine how fun it was to take it all apart and drive around with your rotors in the back looking for a place to do it, just to figure out that you did all the work for nothing b/c they have to be on the truck to turn.

Brutal...
Good to know though, thanks!
Actually I was going to turn them but the dealer told me that they were too warped to turn. And you figure if anyone wants to take your money then it's them, so I gotta figure it can't be done.
I plan on turning the backs though, once the fronts are done.
Dinggus,
are you asking me or Flash?
If you are asking me, I can give you the PT# for the Pads,
but I haven't gotten the right rotors in yet,
so I don't have those part numbers yet.

Turning rotors is a process in which the rotors are evenly grinded down on both sides in order to true them. If your rotors are warped, it's usually much cheaper to "turn" them than it is to buy new rotors.

Hope that answers your question.
Now, how you do that on a truck is beyond me...

That usually means warped rotors. A metal on metal sound
usually means that you need new pads. My pads are fine,
but I just figured I might as well upgrade while I'm in there.
Hope that helped
Mine are too warped to turn safely. Basically if they were to turn them, they
would have to take so much off, that they wouldn't be safe any longer.
Hence why I'm having to replace them. Hopefully you'll be lucky and
will be able to get away with just turning them.
I think I'll have to replace them as well. Because they haven't been replaced since I've had the truck, and doubt they've been replaced when the previous owner had it. So that's 7 year old brakes and rotors. When I take the truck to the shop, I'll have them check out the brakes and rotors. I adjusted the tirerack for the brake pads for my truck, about $80 per set for brakes.

Let me know what you end up getting, I pass it onto my Dad. Maybe
he'll use it on his '02.
