Getting primer overspray off my truck

Hi just wondering your guys opinions on a good product to get some primer overspray off my new truck. I just got home from college and washed my tuck the other day. It looked like there were all kinds of little dust particles on the hood and roof, well it turns out the dumf**k neighboor was spraying some parts for his car when it was gusting out and my truck happened to be staight downwind of his paint booth setup. To be honest I'm just as pissed at myself for leaving my rig in the back but I figured there was enough common sense there to not paint when it was blowing 25-30. My dad has a buffer but not sure what the right compound would be. Any advice much appreciated.

Thanks,
Zane

I drove over paint before , DId nt know it at first or that it was paint, it was all the way accross the road. It dried before i could go to wash it, i used bug a tar remover on it then a pressure washer and it came off the paint, wheelwells, tires. The washed a waxed with. I tried claybar, it took some off .

I had some black stuff probly tar on my truck and ran the claybar over it several times, most of it came off. When spray paint travels very far it usualy doesn't stick to stuff very hard.

i ran over white paint once (my truck is black) and it literally covered the bottom quarter of my truck with white specs

about 2-3 hours with the clay bar got it off tho

I've had cars and trucks completely covered in primer overspray, base coat overspray, and even clearcoat overspray. I've never found any that a good quality claybar could not get off.

A cool dry area works best. I used straight water which some will say doesn't work but has always worked perfect for me. If you spray a soap solution on it, sometimes the soap will not allow the clay to get to or penetrate the overspray enough and will more or less just slide right over it. Using purified or bottled water straight outta the bottle with claybar works very well.

try mineral spirits first. it won't hurt the paint and it's a whole lot faster than using a clay bar.

Try using a clay bar and see if it can still be removed. If not, I guess your next option would be to have your paint buffed or polished.
