OEM Grille Mod

Okay, so I had this idea last night. I have no idea if it's been done before or not, so I'm sorry in advance if I'm repeating something.

My truck is an XL so, she came with this grille:

I remembered the day I bought her, there was a Ranger in the showroom with this grille on it:

So I started to think about making one that looked similar out of mine.
I did some photo chopping...

(Sorry, I can't remember the user's name, but I used a member's picture because he has the front valence that I want to get. If the owner wants me to remove it I can)

I haven't had a chance to add it yet, but maybe some round fog lights in the center of the grille?

GT350 Style

...and just cause I like to ***** pictures
here's what she looks like now:

What does everyone think about the idea?

If I go for it, do you think I can use fiberglass to fill the holes from the "H-Bars"?

All opinions appreciated!

Thanks!

its doable, but you're looking at alot of custom fabrication. It would be much easier without the fogs tho.

Youd be better off with a urethane repair epoxy to fill the voids left. SEM and 3M make similar products

I love the Eleanor look, maybe because I just let mine go back in December due to bankruptcy. I will have another for sure, always loved the look of the centered grille lamps too!

I like when the fogs are just behind the grill better.

It is the same picture. Like I said, I used a member's photo; if they want me to take it down I will.

I wasn't out to upset anyone.

I'll be completely honest.......when i first opened this thread and saw the picture of my truck all hacked(photoshopped) up I was like....WTF?!

Since you were respectful enough to say that you would take it down if I wanted you too, you can keep it up.

My truck doesn't even look like that anymore anywyas......HAHAHA

Yeah, I figured since I mangled it up pretty bad, I'd at least try to be nice.

i only used your picture, cause that was the only picture i could find straight on of a F150 with that front valence.
Thanks Though, and sweet truck!

I've thought about fabricating a grille like this as well. Saw it first in an RKSport ad. I just replaced my factory grille so now I've got something to work on without leaving a big hole up front.
