2009 emblems on a 2000

Got my new 09 emblems on my truck. I had to clip the aligning pegs on the back of the emblems. I was able to cover the THREE holes from the original emblems.
I used a little fishing line and patience.

a bit too close to the fenders it looks, but congrats on being the first 10th gen to do this (publicly)

Probably did not have much choice with the fender flares and being able to cover the holes.

any chance you noticed whether the tailgate emblem would have covered all the holes on the fender?

Yeah, if I would have done it right. I would have patched the 3 holes left by the previous emblem, sanded and painted and then put the new ones a little higher.

Good thing I am not too much of a perfectionist.

I didn't check but it might have. I thought about cutting the XLT piece off too but I thought that might look too crappy. Even if it didn't the hole would be pretty easy to cover up with something.
