No doubt it looks cleaner. Even with my little 6" lift and 35's I find it much easier to get in and out with them on and I'm 6'1.
My 8 year old son would always grab the pocket on the back of the front seats to get in. They would have been destined for damage. I would say with any truck lower than mine, they would just get in the way or are purely cosmetic.

So FX4life, you just roll out a rope ladder or do you have a elevator in there?

Looks better off. Took mine off and improved the look greatly. Now it's just a pain getting in and out.

I vote on, I've always like them, also they could save you from a door ding someday from a small car.

They look better off, but I'm thinking of putting mine back on b/c it saves the side of the truck a little from rock chips. Also it'll help my seats not to tear. When people get out they want to slide down the seats and will eventually tear. Thinking of getting the automatic ones one day.

Getting to them door handles must be tricky at times if your parked on a low angle and need to access the higher end. That would be awesome I want a lift

I say....

ON for sure ! Not only does it make a truck look tougher, but its functional too. My truck is only about 3 inches taller than stock, and still, I use my step bar, and grip handle every time I get in or out of my truck.

Also, I've never liked the way the sheet metal comes around and is spot welded together, under the sides of a truck (as well as many other vehicles out there). The step bar hides this, and some of the other, unpainted / unfished hardware under the truck too.
Because of this, I think a truck looks cleaner "with" the step bar, contrary to what most here are saying. But that's just MPO.

Peace,
Fish

My vote is to get em off unless you can keep em looking real clean & shiny I see lots of quite a few trucks with them on & the owner has not taken care of em & so they look real bad!

Amen to the door ding protector cause I have been hit twice while sitting in my truck hard and the bars stopped certain damage. And who knows how many times I have been hit without me in it

I like the steps on, but your truck looks great either way, so I don't think you can really go wrong...just whichever look you prefer. :-)
