well if your a dragster... def. get it. but many years working on cars that have them it tends to woarp left under the sun for long periods of time. depends on the brand) crack in the winter bec its cold. if your turck is a daily driver your only going to use it for looks. sure it can shave off a few pounds and some people might even take it as far as say to save gas.... but over all at the end its comes down to looks. i wouldn't, bec stock or oem hoods are fire rest. and if your motor blows up its not passing the hood...its pref. over usage. again i wouldn't start with this mod first. i would look for other things to change/upgrade before this. also an idea try a hood scoop on your stock hood see if you like that or they sell a rool of carbon fiber paper.. i seen that aswell. looks exsact like the real thing but remember its only sticky paper lol. wel good luck.

Well I'm trying to find another hood for my truck and I can't one I'm dead set on. Also my truck isn't a daily driver nor a racer. I want to go to the tracks with it every once in awhile but not an everyday thing. But I'm mainly looking more for looks. And for hoods scoops I can't stand them. I need a whole new hood. Don't ask me why but they look too cheesy for me to get one. But here are some I've been taking second glances at.

For the last one people say it's just a hood scoop molded into the hood But I'm not positive on that one and if it is I'll take that route.

If you're looking for opinions or votes I'd go with the middle one, but that's a lot of bucks for a little looks!
Good luck.

I like the middle one, but it does resemble the Ram air hoods for the GM vehicles. Not saying that is a bad thing, just saying.

The last one is the cragar special edition hood. I'm not sure where to find them or if they are just a scoop. But on the site it says the hoods are functional and I don't think scoops are functional. So I'm not sure

I like the middle one. I've been thinking about carbon fiber hoods and trying to decide if it would be worth it for me to buy one when I get my truck.
