xenonking - try a marketing or ethics class. No sale for you!

XenonLink - Will you be around tomorrow? I would like to order a Bi Xenon 6000k kit for a 2007 f150xlt. I am going to need you to send me a paypal invoice to pay you.

On the 07 the headlights come on when you unlock it at night. Will this cause problems? unlock - turning on, off when it starts truck, then turn on lights with switch.

if this goes well, i have 4 - hella 700ff lights that will need two single beam kits this summer. I believe they are a h3

My thoughts exactly. As for the headlights....the headlights coming on with the unlock button will cause unnecessary wear on the HIDs. They should have ample time to warm up and cool down between uses, so having them flick on and off so frequently will lower their life. Go to your owner's manual (I think the part discussing the remote lock) and it will tell you how to disable the headlights from coming on when you unlock the truck. It was a very simple process.

im interested, i just picked up a 06 milan and thought it'd be nice to try hid's in it since it comes factory with projection low and fogs. i need a ballast that is easy to hide so i can retain the OEM look under the hood.

how small of a ballast can i get? also, is 5k vs 6k noticeable?

Yes, I'm in the office now. Give me a call @ 866-857-0005 ask for WIL. I'll be in the office till 6PM Pacific Time.
Auto lights normally won't be an issue. Worst is you'll have one headlight on and the other side off. But don't worry, if this happens just turn off your light before you start you engine. Once your engine is on turn on the headlights. This sometimes happens is due to not enough power is going into the ballast and causing one HID bulb not turning on.

I'll be waiting for you phone call today.

Thanks,
William

Our ballast is 3.5x3x1.5 inches in dimension.

5K is white with tint of yellow
6K is white with tint of blue

I finally got a chance to get mine installed and they are awesome. I had to do some trial and error to get them to work, switching the diodes and jumper cables and such. I ended up leaving the diodes in orignal orientation and removing the jumper cables.

man im all turned around, every persons assessment of hid's baffles me. 4300k is typical stock hid, which to me looks pure white, how would 5k be a tint of yellow? you say 6k is a tint of blue, i can buy that, but the 5k having yellow tint?

will there be concern of cut off or bleed with a oem halogen projection housing using hid and the same for aftermarket egay projector specials for the f150?

Trust me, when you see a pure white HID bulb next to stock halogens they will be a nasty faded, yellow color.

-----dont forget about local Rosco's. a slight bule headlight you will get away with, a yellow tint or the purple is a big red flag IMO.

From my years of experience as long as you stay within 4300K, 5000K, 6000K and 8000K you are safe. 8000K output is very much like the factory on BMW. Although all factory HID are 4300K the color output will look like light blue it's due to the projector lens.
