IMO, it looks ricey and the glare isn't cool. You're in a vehicle, that is larger than a lot of others on the road, the glare from your headlights will go directly into their eyes.

Maybe read up on what you're getting. I've written a few things here about them:

HID and Hella Light Project - Page 4

can you use hid's? - Page 1

I strongly urge you to check out the forums at HIDPlanet, as well. Don't just jump in asking about HID Kits, because they will tend to assume you don't know what you are talking about. Start in their University Section, specifically:

HID newb crash course [Learn the basics here]

There is a lot of information on the differences between HID's and Halogen lighting systems there. Take advantage of it! In the end, you are going to do what you want to do, all the power to you. Just be sure to do your research first so that you know what you are getting and aren't being preyed upon by kit companies that take advantage of people's ignorance in the area of HID's. (Just a thought, but if the kit costs $200+, they're likely taking advantage of you!)

Anybody have an issue where the fogs cut out when the heads come on? I just installed the Xenonlink kit (heads:H10 bi-xenon, fogs:H13) and the fogs work in parking light mode but when I turn the heads on the fogs cut out. The little light indicator next to the switch in the cabin also cuts off. Seems like a relay issue or something but the fogs did not come with a relay harness like the heads so I used the stock wiring for the fogs. The wiring harness for the heads does have an extra unused wiring connector on one side but if I use that instead of the stock connector then the fog stays on all the time on that side, independent of the switch setting. So I stuck with the stock wiring on the fogs and am baffled why they'd cut out when the heads ignite if the 2 systems aren't otherwise directly connected. I've read posts for an hour but haven't found anything for this particular problem, only the one where the hi beams come on with fog lamps solved by the bambi vision mod. Maybe that mod will solve my prob too? I'm sure it's a simple answer but any help would be greatly appreciated. I tried calling William yesterday but nobody picked up and he hasn't responded to my PM either, probably b/c of holiday weekend.

Thanks guys and Happy Memorial Day. If you're out there serving our great country then my sincere thanks for your sacrifice. My wife and I truly appreciate it. Stay safe.

Hey will, i noticed sat night that one of my fogs was out.
I swapped the ballasts to see if the ballast was the prob or the bulb and the bulb didnt
light.
After a bit of swapping and testing it appears to flicker and attempt to light once when power is applied but doesnt light.
What do i do to get a replacement?
Give me a call or email at your convenience, you still have my number/email? If not ill PM them to you.
Thanks.

Pardon my laziness for not reading the 19 pages, but has anyone put HID's in factory Lightning headlights? Does it look ricey, or does it look good? Is glare a problem?

Yes, in fact as far as I know most guys that are purchasing them (myself included) are running them in the stock housings. They do glare a little bit, but I just aimed a tad lower and I have not had any problems. I do not feel they look ricey but each to there own

Everyone is buying them these days. I took mine out because they looked ricey. Frankly, halogens make you stand out more than these cheap kits. If you want to stand out from the crowd and still have the performance of HID, then do a retrofit. A little more expensive, but the quality is rivalled only by that of OEM applications such as BMW and Mercedes.

------i am 100% happy with my kit form xenon link. why are HID's "ricey" BMW, Audi, high end american cars and truck come with HID so how is this "ricey?" the silver stars, cheapo blue blubs claiming to be HID for $10.99 on ebay....that is import car junk.

HID retro kits are the best thing since sliced bread IMO. the light is so different and clear compared to halogens. for the rest of my life, until they come on every car or until LED are available, I will have HIDs.

xenon links kits are very easy to install and lets be honest, most after market items need some tweeking. i do not have fog lights, just a headlight kit. i have no radio noise they both light every time, and they burn at equal brightness.
