HD Tails vs Niteshaded Tails (PICS)
Niteshade vs HD Tails (+PICS)
I had purchased some HD tails about a month ago so I had the OEM tails laying around. Decided to tint my 3rd brake light so I figured why not try it out on the main tails as well? I did it and it came out pretty good for my first time. Just wanted to get some opinions on it. Of course the niteshaded tails don't have the good finish since I used rattle can clear, but I think it goes better with the blackout theme.
Which do you like better?

I don't know how you all get away with the niteshade tails. In NM you would get pulled over for that dark tint on your tail lights. So I just have to settle for the HD tails. Oh Well, But in my opinion I like the HDs.
I was worried about that but after checking all the light output (ie-lights on, braking, reverse lights, etc) I'm not that worried about it. There is a bit of a light output decrease, but it's still easily visible in all conditions. I'm hanging onto the HDs for a while just in case.

Thank you! I just wish the stock tires were blackwall out. Oh well getting new ones soon, anyway. At first I was worried that I wouldn't like the blackout look since my truck isn't lifted, but it's growing on me.
Saw your thread the other day...are you still going with the round fogs to match the painted headlights? Your truck will look sweet with painted headlamps--I did mine the other day. Word of warning, though, be careful when pulling them apart. It does take some force, but if the silicone isn't heated up enough, you may crack the edges. I learned the hard way, but nothing a little extra silicone couldn't fix.
