Hating on Chrome

Whys everybody hating on chrome? I can understand going overboard with Chrome ( being so close to Mexico I have seen a crap load of chrome) but I don't think there is anything better then black and chrome. I guess the fact that I am a Harley owner I love chrome on my bike but I still think chrome in moderation looks good on the F150.

I support those who hate Chrome 100%

Helps keep the price down for those of us who like it

Ya' know.....

I have a blacked out truck, yet I still see nice looking vehicles all the time, which have a little, or even quite a bit of chrome.

It's just getting to where when I see a nice truck with chrome, I'm starting to feel like, "That's a good looking 'old school' truck, right there".....

Peace,
Fish

Painted looks so much nicer IMO... I bought a chrome pkg truck but have been slowly converting it all to painted!

Chrome looks good most of the time, but it all depends. After getting involved with some more modifications sometimes chrome wont look all that great.

I'm planning harley headlamps, so my front bumper wont work out with them, I would rather it be PTM, and round fog lamps. Owners get real picky on what they like. I for one with my truck, prefer dark red & black.

Styles come and go in phases. Black is the new chrome....but for how long? I suspect just about the time I get my wheels powder coated, the "murdered out" phase will be over. No matter though...I love the black-out look whether it's in style or not.

I personally believe chrome belongs on a Harley, and "old skool" gasser/hot rod or in the engine bay (to a limited extent).

It's all about personality of you and your truck.

I agree! It also really depends on your truck. Take mine for example, I think a Dark Shadow Grey truck works better with Black than it does Chrome. Chrome has just never been my thing.

Too much chrome can also be a good thing (in very... very few instances):
