I want to get tint on the truck soon, and don't know if I should keep it legal or go dark. I live in Lee's Summit, Missouri, and there is absolutly no crime here, so the cops will pull you over for anything.
The law says I can have 35% tint on the front side windows, but the back side windows and the back can be whatever I want.
If I get 35% on the front sides then 5% on the rest of the windows will it look bad or not match? That was my plan but if it looks funny, then I will have to think of something different.

hey man i dont think it will look bad... i got a supercrew with the factory tint.. and i tinted that all the way 5% over th factory tinted windows.. and then i put 20% on the passenger and driver side doors looks fine..
If you put 5% over the factory 18% on the back and back sides and you put 35% on the front rollups, it will be quite a big difference. I worked for a window tinting shop for a while down at the lake and everytime we did a car we tried to talk people out of going with that big of a difference because it stands out. I would personally go with 20% all around or 20% on the front and 5% on the back. It is all what you like, I would do some searching through the gallery on here and see what other people have gone with and what you think looks good.

i have trouble seeing , at night out the window with my 18%

seriously? i guess im used to it....i have no trouble except backing up at night....so i just dont do it
2.5 is quite dark man but its all about the area you are in. I wouldn't want that because tinted vehicles for one is somewhat rare in my town, so the cops will get on people about it, and my higher height truck out in the country side makes visibility quite difficult to see, no street lights here. 20% is the minimum for me.
I've got 2.5% on the rear and ext. cab windows with 20% on the front side windows and I don't think it looks bad at all. Also have a 5% sun strip across the front windshield. My truck didn't have any factory tint on it either.
I've got 15% all the way around (except for the windshield) and I love it. It's kind of hard to see out at night if your on a road with no lights, but you get used to it. The light that comes through your front windshield will penetrate your rear window during the day so it looks almost factory. BLACK IT ALL OUT!!!
