My Saleen Grille is on the way...

$180 shipped from Saleen. Kinda pricey for me, but... what ev. Best looking grille I have seen on a newer body style f150, period. In my opinion...

I guess they are doing some kind of inventory thing this week, so it will ship out monday and be at my place on wednesday or thursday.

I currently have a billet installed on my truck. Do you know if I can still use my surround? I went to the ford dealer and they said they dont sell the surround by itself, only the whole grille for 270 F$^%#&**& American Dallors! ....Yes, American dallors..... NOT Pasos.

If I need a new surround, any ideas on where I could get one? and how much it would run me...?

(still had my quad from the dunes and it needed to be washed off, also. Not trying to show it off for the record... haha.)

Any and all opinions on how it might look are welcome! Some photoshop action would be amazing if anyone could do it too...

BUuutttt.... Should I paint the bumpers black? or BLue? Im thinking blue...


(I would have it done by a shop with color matching paint if I decide on blue...)

1. I have no idea about the surround but if you do have to get one I might try the salvage yard.

2. That's really good for paint! The Saleen grille is going to look wicked!!

3. It's kinda hard to tell, but your truck is solid color right? No black stripe along the bottom? If so, I would def paint the bumpers blue to match. Are you going to try to paint over the chrome or get new bumpers? The one on Seth19's truck looks awesome.

4. Is that a Viper in the garage????

Thanks! Its actually a 6" now. Auto spring spacer in the front with 6" fabtech blocks in the rear. I also have 1/4" wheels spacers on each side in the front.

Yeah, Ill prolly go blue. Its all one color. I will definitely have to try the salvage. Im hoping theres a tru blue ford out there with a nice non-wrecked front end. Or, I will just have one painted...

I was planning on having my stock bumpers painted. Seths is looking pretty good though. What kind of bumper is that, seth? How much did you pay? and did you have to get it painted?

lol I can try yours with paint when I get home from work. I cant make any promises. Took me forever to do mine. It was like a puzzle.

Do you mean my bumper or my grille? My bumper is just the factory bumper that came with the truck. But my truck is 2 tone so it is a dark gray color instead of black.

If you mean my grille, it is a Harley Davidson Edition Grille.

Yeah, I meant your bumper. It just looks aftermarket for some reason. Maybe because of the 2-tone. I dont know...

So, what do you think I should shoot for when Im getting an estimate on the front and rear bumpers? Im definitely not going to take the first price he gives me.

I think instead of a tru blue surround, I think im just going to go with a matt black surround. It will tie in the grille with the headlights...

I just got my factory front bumper and a rear roll pan painted for $290, so I'd say a little higher than that.
