New headlights installed....again

Well I know this has been posted a million times but I just had to say how happy I am after installing my new TYC Lightning heads and corners. It was obvious right out of the box that these lights are much higher quality pieces than the no-names that I got burned with from ebay. Fitment is excellent as well....looks like OEM. And install was super easy...out with the old and in with the new in 15 minutes. I can't say that about the no-names that I had before because after wiggling and cursing for 30 minutes I finally had to take the grill surround out to get them in. And best of all.....these TYC look freaking awesome!!!! If the other lights made the front of the truck look twice as good, these make it look 5X as good!

Apparently my wife took the camera but I will get some pics up either this evening or tomorrow.

Thanks to everyone who offered advice about the various brands and styles of lights and sellers. (Got these from autoanything.com......highly recommend).

Sorry man. The more I looked at the Lightning heads, the more I wished I had gotten them in the first place. I think the diamond-cut style looks really good on your truck. That is part of the reason I ordered them for mine to begin with. But now that I have the L-style, I am glad I made the switch. I don't think those heads from carpartnation are total crap or anything. They looked good and fit pretty well. But the TYCs are obviously better quality...you can tell just by looking and by feeling...the TYCs weigh twice as much as the others. And the TYCs use a different method to secure the mounting rod to the housing...much more sturdy. I know you have the TYC corners and can see how they are made. The TYC heads are just as good.

As a note, I sold my diamond-cut heads and the set of damaged TYC corners that I had for $65 on craigslist. I lost money on those heads but atleast I got a little to go towards the L-styles.

Not to put words in his mouth but I'm guessing he is like me and is pissed that he got sold no-names posing as brand names.

Well they are fine, but I still find myself "cheating" and looking at better ones. They are great, but are really flimsy and I don't like that cover thing in the front of my HID bulbs. They'll have to do cause I have a bunch of "needs" that have to be sqaured away first.

its to help reduce glare... hide the bulb, and help reflect light

imo you remove that and you will be hassled to **** by the police, not to mention endanger everyone who drives against you / infront of you as the bulb will be in open visibility. My oe headlights had the reflector, as do the lightning headlights.... as do tycs.

starquestbd22, I had the same error message when I was trying to upload pics to my gallery. I went into the IT forum and others are saying they are having the same problem. Apparently you can no longer uload pics to your gallery, the gallery may be going away. You have to use a photobucket type website now. What a **** off!! I would rather keep the gallery than use photobucket.

Thanks for the information. That is a bummer.

Here's few quick pics. Truck is dirty and wet but you get the idea. I hate how uploaded photos never seem to be as sharp and clear as the originals. I will try to get a pic of the whole truck after I wash it today.
