Couple of Mod ideas.

i have a few ideas about some small/cheap mods that i want to do to my truck, but wanted to see what you guys thought about them.
  1. Paint the black plastic upper & lower valance and the rear bumper plastic to match the truck
  2. get a 4wd lower valance with fog lights but no tow hook holes.(painted to match)
and a few i plan on in the near future
  1. GF 2" drop shackles
  2. Patman's old "emblemless" grill (hopefully)

thanks guys.

Hmmm...unless you have color-specific paint, dont get Krylon. Too much of a difference. What I did with my doorhandles (made of the same stuff the valences are made of) is sand it down with 600 then 800 to smooth them out, paint with my color-coded YZ and then I'm going to shoot some clear coat on there tomorrow.

yea, i will make sure to do that. that way there isnt a texture to the plastic, and it looks like its just paint the same as the truck.

o and i found a guy with a 4wd lower valance on a 2wd f150.

Wow, I like those diamond fogs. If I had a 99+ front end, I would def. get a L bumper, HID's in the fogs, and a ram air hood

i didnt know Ls came with honeycomb grills...is $199 cheap for that?? i like it, but seems pricey...

anyways, if i was getting a new grill though, id get the OEM L one like tarajerame has on his green Scab.

No current plans to buy another one, but wouldnt mind making a new grill that is the same thing.

99 and 2000 lightnings came with regular headlights/tail lights and grills

200 is a little high for the harley valence but they are kinda hard to find so get what you can get.
I paid 120 total for my valence including the repaint.

i think im going to stick with the 4wd valance. its lower than the one i have now, but not low enough to where you can tell that it has no body kit or anything...kinda like how the STX has that long front bumper that makes it look it lowered from the front.

thanks for the tips though! and let me knwo when you are thinking about getting rid of that grill. i will gladly take it

2 good ones perferably, or atleast 1.5 really.

I was thinking that ebay one would be good because you could have it shipped straight to me, and it would only be a 20-25$ investment....
