Update #3 (6/24/08)

So I stopped by AutoZone to pick up the sandpapers. I found a dual-pack that had absolutely what I needed. 320 grit to take off the first layer and 600 to sand down the primer. I'm at a friends house and we're about to go put some bondo that he has in the holes and begin sanding it down. I tried to pick up a can of Krylon Fusion in Oxford White for the lower valence, but you have to be 18 to get it Friggin druggies....

Next step: Primer

Pics up soon!

Well, I just found out I left the SD card for my camera at my house. So I've got my friends camera phone taking pics. We sanded it down with 120 around the holes to bare metal, then wet sanded 320 on it to smooth it out for priming. Also picked up some 600 for post-prime. Right now I'm about to go smooth out the Bondo and then apply another layer if needed. I'm going into town today to pick up the primer, so I should be going home with a gray bumper.

Sanding it down. we removed all the bugs and everything so really, it looks great all one color again. Can't wait, I can feel it getting done!

As a matter of fact (I'm at my buddies house right now) my friend's dad is going to swing by the shop to pick up the primer for me (stupid 18 laws) as we celebrate with my special spicy taco dinner I make every so often. Priming is all I'll be able to do, I'm hoping to do it tonight before it gets dark. A bunch of friends talked me into pulling the trig on HIDs so I'll have to wait a few days to scrape up some extra few bucks to pick up the actual paint and CC. So I'd have to say my goal date to have final wash, wax, and NEW sig pics is this saturday or sunday. Then again, I might wait until my HIDs and F-150 inlays come in before I snap final shots for you guys.

My dad is one of those "penny and nickles" guys who saves as much as possible. His blood pressure goes through the roof when I leave the TV, etc on. Now he's adopted a new rule where we shut off items (computer/tv/radio) from the power strips. He actually claims a $15-$25 lower electric bill!

Thanks for all the support, guys, I'm really glad I'm getting this done. For kicks and giggles heres a before shot of when my dad owned it as his weekend driver for trash duties: (You don't want to see the stock rims with Firestone rubber )

^^ Shes come a long way. She's been like that from 1997-2007, now comes 2008 rolls out a bitchin truck! ^^^
