Projector hid's?

Can you put an hid kit into a projector headlight for an '97-'03 f150

Yes you can. Projectors are the ideal setup for HIDs.

Just make sure the HID bulb isn't to long for the projector housing.

x2. ive been wanting to do this, but i finally decided to purchase some vision-x bulbs, just have to wait for the money...lol.

wht projectors do u have? i have an 01 with the black housing

well the actual length of HID bulbs are pretty long. The connector should be on the light housing itself if it didn't tell you. Look up the length of them and stick something of an equal length into your heads to see if they'll fit.

those are the NICE ones. those are the ones i would have liked to have gotten, instead i have the cheaper ones....but they do me just fine. im prolly just going to stick some silverstar or vision-x in mine. but those look good!

Next best thing would be black housings (Hella, HD, FX2 (grey), or DIY) with an HID conversion kit.

I just installed a 6000k into my Hella housings and they are amazing. The black housing really makes a strong cutoff point, whereas the chrome housings do not, causing too much glare into on-coming traffic.

would my headlights work for bi-xenon HIDs? check my gallery to see upclose pic of headlights....i have the apc projector style headlights. i still want to have the function of my hi/lo beams. Just wondering what would the best fit would be

I have the chrome housing and have been running HIDs for over 7 months, mostly interstate, and havent been flashed ONCE.
