Cool, which ones did you get? Those SMT bulbs are the best I found right now. I have a few laying around and when I did my plate, I had fitment issues. It seems as though the regular bulb is literally stuffed in the housing. I hope your fits!

Thats quite pricey to me, but since most LEDs dont always wanna fit and they will last, it seems worth it. I have LED reverse lights, and comparing them to my plate lights, the plate lights need to go.. One is burnt out anyways so theres an excuse

Tell us how they fit. Also, if they look good, get us a linky! I'm about a step away from heading on over and getting a pair myself. The only thing stopping me is fitment issues. I don't think any of them are small enough!

Cool! Linky! Linky! Linky!!!! Alex is ready to buy! I just got done QD'ing my truck a few mins ago and since it was dark out I had the garage's flood lights lit plus my parking lights on so I can admire my rear-end LEDs and when I was polishing the chrome bumper, I could feel the heat coming off those little license plate bulbs! Can't wait to get rid of 'em.

Sucks they're no brighter than stock but I need to do a reverse fog lamp setup for the brightness I want.

Post some pics up!

here yall go.

as you can see it doesnt light the plate up very much. i think its due to the fact that the LEDs all shine in one direction. i think im gonna play wtih them tomorrow and try to get them to light the plate up more. im not too happy with how they turned out. they would be great if they were pointing directly at the plate though

the new dodges- their license plate lights are like a mile away from the plate. it amazes me how they get them to light it all up without overheating

alright. today i said screw it and took the bulbs out. and put them in my instrument cluster. lol i took it out to change some burnt out bulbs and just stuck them in there to see how it would look, and i really like it. so i ordered 18 more to do the rest with lol. so much for my license plate lights

LEDs can look nice. I have leds in all my air vents, in the little cubby hole under the aftermarket head unit and also in the little cubby hole under the steering wheel. I also recently put one to shine on my instrument cluster. The one in the cluster looks so much nice that the factory lights. It's also an easy way to spice up the look of the cluster if you don't have the know how of taking the needles off and putting them back on.
