How to make a 7$ scoop insert

Ok Guys thanks for all the good comments . Hears the lowdown first thing I have the Roush bolt on hood scoop the sell them at Woodhouse factory Painted and come with all hardware and template you must drill holes in your hood to mount the scoop/ Ok Home Depot sells large and small Aluminum Diamond Mesh for this I used the smaller one its called (Premium Gutter Guard )Your find it over by the down spouts and gutter parts but we all should had figured that one . Its about a 3ft x 6inch and sells for a $1.50.Next stop Advanced Auto Parts Pick up a pack of (Elegant U.S.A Press on door edge Molding for Trucks)this is about $5.00 and comes in Black or Chrome.Pick up a tube of (Permatex black silicone adhesive sealant ) But if your truck is Red or some other I would use clear silicone instead of the black . Ok grab some printing paper and tape 3 sheets together long ways and cut it to about the size of the scoop opening press the paper in the scoop and trace the edge on the paper now cut out what you traced and now you have your template for the mesh tape it on the mesh flip the mesh and snip it out going just a bit smaller to make up for your door trim you will be wrapping it with.Get the door edge and pop it on the side and across the top use a hair dryer to help make the bends on the side and it will take form cut to size Now do the lower part Watch out for your hands or your scratch the hell out of them the mesh is sharp when cut. Ok let the door edge set up if you need ad some temp zip ties till it take shape.Test fit and put the silicon around the back of the door edge it should fit tight and about a 1/8th of the back let it dry and your good to go. Next I am going to do the grills

Nice!!! Where did you get the scoop from? I've never heard of them before...

BTW, I think your front end would look sportier if you took off that bulgy front license plate bracket if you're not using it

Me too, but I don't have one.

And he probably took it off so his plates weren't on the net.

Yeah, down here in Fla we dont need our fronts. I took mine off cause it was big and bulky and I didn't like it. If you guys wanna see my plates check out my gallery. I don't care, cause even if you manage to get the info, its not mine
