Go to the very first post and try coping the same set up. Couple 1" metal straps , nuts & bolt. Do a litte bending on a vise.

I used an L shaped metal strap and welded the 1" straps
1st time

2nd time had to do some modifying

So if I understand it - Home Depot has the parts to make the mountand it all bolts together - no welding etc...I love it !!!! Does anyone have the time that has done this to put together a small short but sweet diagram of this wonderful invention?

I just bought flat bar from the depot and bent to fit how I wanted it.

You will want to paint it as the metal is not protected so it will rust. I will probably rebuild mine at some point. The flat bar although is anchored in the middle to help stop sway. When I redue mine I will use box bar or something stiffer for the horizontal piece as my lights to rattle a bit when on rough road.

Here's Mine

I have a fx2 grille waiting to be put in and was wondering if anyone has put driving lights behind one of those? Most of the pics are the honeycomb grille.
Or would the hella grille be a better option?

Looks like the 04+ models can put some pretty big lights in there. I maxed out with 7" IPF driving lights because of the grill support.

Talking Finally got around to doing it.

Well i finally got around to getting it done.. i think it looks pretty good. i took a different route (easier) than others.. lights are 100 watts 6", i think i might go bigger.. maybe 7" what do yall thinK?

lights behind grill...off

lights on (daytime)

little bit closer

my brackets

my way more angles

TOUCH switch...yes, you read it right, TOUCH!

off

on

different night shots...

wires are all soldered/ heat shrank together. its double fused (one between battery and relay, then one between the relay and switch).

next up... painting the heads black....

p.s. sorry if the pics are too big.. im not sure how to resize them, normal html coding (height="" width="") wouldnt work for me.
